You know your way around the basics and you have been applying Kanban in practice for some time now. But, still “there has to be more”! Then the “Improving Kanban” training is the perfect fit for you! For two days, you will work with Kanban for professionals. Not only theory, but also practice exercises on your own Kanban systems, numerous chances for exchanging of information and concrete improvement ideas, this is what makes this highly interactive training what it is. Assessment, prioritization, forecasting, scaling, etc. are the topics that become more important the more your own Kanban experience grows and, when applied appropriately, can release enormous potential for improvement. Unfolding this potential is the goal of this training. And there is still more: In this special training Klaus pairs-up with metrics guru Dan Vacanti which means you can expect a high dose of actionable metrics!

Covered topics:

Assessment: How is our Kanban system?

Where does it needs to be improved?

Kanban at scale

Demand management with Cost of Delay (prioritization)

Probabilistic Thinking and Forecasting (no advanced mathematics required!)

Optimizing throughput and cycle time

Dealing with bottlenecks and constraints

with external dependencies

Metrics Special: Flow Metrics: a deep dive into WIP, Cycle Time, and Throughput Flow Analytics: Cumulative Flow Diagrams (CFDs), Cycle Time Scatterplots, Histograms

Aim of Training: Improving of an actual Kanban System

Check how things stand, evaluate your own Kanban system, get an overview of where the most potential for improvement can be found and learn a lot about new topics. The aim is to create concrete improvement ideas for your own Kanban system and to learn how to successfully implement these ideas. It is possible to do this as a single participant or in a group of three, then you will have several perspectives towards any aspect and the weight of implementation weighs on a few more shoulders.
