<p><strong>Duration</strong>: 2 days class</p><p><strong>Date + location</strong>: Tues 23<sup>rd</sup> – Wed 24<sup>th</sup> July, 9.30am start, Littledown House, Purbeck room</p><p><strong>Course description</strong>:</p><p>In this 2-day Kanban System Design course you will gain deeper familiarity with the Kanban methods and a Systems thinking approach (STATIK) to applying Kanban for your <strong>Product or team</strong>.</p><p><strong>Pre-requisite:</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Suitable for beginners or intermediate <strong>but</strong> <strong>you must </strong>have previous exposure to Kanban.&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Accreditation:</strong> Kanban System Design (KMP1).</p><p><strong>Learning Outcomes</strong>:</p><p>After completion of training you will learn how to:</p><ul><li>Guide a team in their adoption of Kanban – using the STATIK approach, including:<ul><li>Identify internal and external sources of dissatisfaction</li><li>Analyse demand vs capability</li><li>Model the knowledge discovery process</li><li>Identify classes of service</li></ul></li></ul><p style="margin-left:1.0in;">&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Design Kanban systems and their visualisations</li><li>Embrace a service-delivery mindset and help the team Identify and reduce the bottlenecks that obstruct your development process</li><li>Learn how to measure and use meaningful Kanban metrics like Flow Efficiency, Lead Time Distribution, Control Chart and Cumulative Flow Diagram (CFD)</li><li>Learn how to decide WIP limits and conduct effective daily stand up and other Kanban meetings</li><li>Evolve the process and practices in collaboration with team to ensure the service delivery model is “fit for purpose”.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Who should attend</strong>?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Team members &amp; managers who want to further their understanding and application of Kanban.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>After course completion</strong>:&nbsp;</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assuming not more than 1hour missed, you will receive accreditation in <strong>Kanban System Design (KMP1)</strong> from Lean Kanban University (LKU).&nbsp; This course has been accredited by David J Anderson (creator of the Kanban method) and Lean-Kanban University (LKU).&nbsp; James Martin is a certified LKU trainer.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Printed copy of the presentation slides.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Electronic copy of the book “Kanban – Successful Evolutionary Change for Your Technology Business” by David J.
