<p><strong>Course description</strong>:</p><p>Kanban approach is an “alternative path to agility.” Kanban Method uses Kanban boards to visualize invisible work, workflow and business risks and helps in managing the work faster with better predictability by introducing evolutionary changes to improve Service Delivery Workflow.&nbsp; This is a 2-day beginner to intermediate level course that begins with a detailed introduction to Kanban Method and moves on to share the STATIK approach –</p><p>a powerful idea that facilitates a ‘service-orientation’ mindset. It makes participants think at a deeper level, beyond just their daily work challenges, to effect a long-term sustainable change.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Learning Objectives</strong>:</p><p>After completion of training you will learn how to:</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Guide a team in their adoption of Kanban – using the STATIK approach, including:</p><p style="margin-left:1.0in;">o&nbsp;&nbsp; Identify internal and external sources of dissatisfaction</p><p style="margin-left:1.0in;">o&nbsp;&nbsp; Analyse demand vs capability</p><p style="margin-left:1.0in;">o&nbsp;&nbsp; Model the knowledge discovery process</p><p style="margin-left:1.0in;">o&nbsp;&nbsp; Identify classes of service</p><p style="margin-left:1.0in;">o&nbsp;&nbsp; Design Kanban systems and their visualisations</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Embrace a service-delivery mindset and help the team Identify and reduce the bottlenecks that obstruct your development process</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Learn how to measure and use meaningful kanban metrics like Flow Efficiency, Lead Time Distribution, Control Chart and Cumulative Flow Diagram (CFD)</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Learn how to decide WIP limits and conduct effective daily stand up and other kanban meetings</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Evolve the process and practices in collaboration with team to ensure the service delivery model is “fit for purpose”.</p><p><strong>Pre-requisites</strong>:&nbsp; There are no formal pre-requisites for this course however some familiarity with Agile methods would be helpful.</p><p><strong>Who should attend</strong>?&nbsp;&nbsp; Team members and managers who want to understand key concepts in Kanban and get started.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Certified training</strong>:&nbsp;</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Participants will receive a <strong>KMP1</strong> certificate of course completion from Lean Kanban University (LKU).&nbsp; &nbsp;Please note you must not miss more than 1hr of class for the certificate.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This course has been accredited by David J Anderson (creator of the Kanban method) and the Lean-Kanban University (LKU).&nbsp; Sam Bakshi and James Martin are certified LKU trainers.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Printed copy of the presentation slides.</p><p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Electronic copy of the book “Kanban – Successful Evolutionary Change for Your Technology Business” by David J.
