Note: This is a one-day class, and will run despite class size.

According to the 2022 State of Agile, 87% of respondents used Scrum at the team level. Indeed, countless teams have enjoyed success using the Scrum Framework since its inception in 1993. But, all too frequently, things in the organization change, or the work changes, or for one reason or another, the steady increases in product increments begin to plateau. Another recent survey says, “58% of Scrum implementations are late, over budget, with unhappy customers.” Despite our best efforts, sometimes solving one problem simply exposes another. How can Scrum Teams trapped in a “doom loop” break free and begin to see progress?

Does this mean that Scrum is inherently flawed? Absolutely not. But your Scrum process probably does need care and feeding, and introducing new ways of looking at your problems might take your Scrum to the next level.

Earn your Scrum Kanban Practitioner (SKP) credential and Enhance Your Practice with The Kanban Method

The Kanban Method and the Scrum Framework are not competing practices; instead, they are potent compliments. Both approaches are rooted in empiricism and lean principles. But where Scrum tends to focus on the team and the product, the Kanban Method focuses on the holistic system formed when the domains of people, process, and product intersect.

Scrum Better with Kanban can help you improve your Scrum through the introduction of proven Kanban practices, principles, and application of evolutionary change management. This course captures the lessons learned from Scrum teams that successfully evolved their way of working by using evolutionary change found in the Kanban Method. Our hands-on training will ensure that you walk away with a proven approach to introducing changes that will deliver results for your team and organization.

Stop Transforming, Start Evolving Your Scrum

What You Will Leave With:

A strong foundation in Kanban’s organizing principles and practices.

The ability to identify and analyze the challenges in and around your Scrum practice and how to prepare solutions to address these challenges.

Identify and develop solutions to the variability and uncertainty that is delaying or slowing down your work.

Learn the meaning and power of evolutionary adaptation

Develop and test potential solutions to problems that reflect the principles and practices of the Kanban Method.

A full digital copy of all materials and exercises from the class.

All participants will receive the Scrum Kanban Practitioner (SKP) credential.

We’ll use Miro for real-time labs, exercises, and interactive content.
