You learned the basics of Kanban and how to design a single system in the Kanban System Design course. The next step on your journey is to learn how to scale out to multiple connected systems. In Kanban Systems Improvement, you will learn how to manage and optimize those systems using metrics and evolutionary change.

This is the second 2-day part of the 4-day Kanban University KMP credential training. The class is free – however, the cost of each Kanban University certification is $220 and must be covered by the attendee. You will receive a certificate of completion for this KSI course if you: 1) complete this class and 2) have also paid the $220 fee to Kanban University by company credit card or paypal (more details about that KU link closer to the class date). You will receive the full KMP credential after you complete both the 2-day Kanban Systems Design (KSD) and the 2-day Kanban System Improvement (KSI) courses. The KMP credential has no additional fee.

In total this class is a 16-hour commitment over 2 days, 8-hours each day including lunch break, breaks.

There will be a small amount of preparation / homework for some of the sessions (e.g., watch a short video).

What You Will Leave With

Understand the basics, motivation, and benefits of evolutionary change.

Scale out your system in multiple directions – upstream, downstream, connected to other systems.

Learn how to run the Kanban cadences to manage and scale your system across your organization.

Understand the sources of delays, variability, and what you can do to effectively manage them.

Identify bottlenecks in a workflow and take actions to improve flow and reduce time to deliver or time to discover.

Learn how to utilize key metrics such as Lead Time, Run Charts, and Cumulative Flow Diagrams to guide your continuous improvement using evolutionary change.

Course Info: KSI Course Description (from Kanban University)

KSI Flyer
